Reality check: Your house is not an asset unless...

I am writing this today NOT because I worship money. It is quite the opposite. As of this moment, I am keeping money as much as I can because it is the right moment to acquire assets. The pandemic has cost thousands of people unemployed including me. Before Covid19,I have been asking for MORE TIME in building assets, studying about entrepreneurship, business and amazingly God gave me this precious and valuable time to work on it. The gift of time enabled me to do my own research, looking for business mentors and evaluating/assessing my interests, capabilities and things to work on with. 

Life is hard without the support of my wife, family, friends and Mr. Robert Kiyosaki. I know Mr. Robert Kiyosaki not in person but thru his books, talks, webinars and blogs. He is my Virtual Financial Coach. By the way, Mr. Kiyosaki is a best selling author, real estate investor, financial expert and businessman. He doesn't know about me and it's OK because his knowledge on finances are the wisdom I gain from him every single time.  Although, I love to meet him in person. 

Whether from Real Estate, Small, big businesses, Cryptocurrency, Affiliate marketing and so on, he has taught me to open my mind in learning to expand context and adding new content in my sleeping brain. When I started reading his book, "Rich Dad Poor Dad" 3 years ago, it opened my eyes into the world of business and finance. It taught me how to have a RICH MINDSET even though I have none yet. It taught me values that I never know it existed in me for a very long time. Values like discipline, perseverance and continued learning. I read his book 5 times already and every time I read, it gives me a whole new perspective in terms of investments, business and way of life. I was able to define what's an asset and liability. It taught me that my house is not an asset, my car a liability if it doesn't generate any cash flow. I acquired new words like Cash flow, good debt, bad debt, leveraging, etc. This type of financial education is not acquired from traditional schools. It is only given for those who SEEK.
